SwitchApp for After Effects
Ask in plain words and Claude builds in your composition: layers, text, shapes, keyframes, effects and renders, all real and editable. Finished renders land in your Switch library.
Set it up once.
Step 1
Install
Unzip the download and double click “Install SwitchApp for After Effects”. If your Mac blocks it, right click it, choose Open, then Open again.
Step 2
Open the panel
Quit After Effects and open it again. Open a saved project and a composition, then choose Window › Extensions › SwitchApp.
Step 3
Sign in and connect
Sign in to SwitchApp in your browser, then press Connect. Turn on “Run my agent’s edits without asking” if you want edits to land by themselves.
Step 4
Ask Claude
In Claude with the SwitchApp connector, ask to list your After Effects connections and read your composition, then ask for what you want built.
Then ask, for example
“Make me a glass interface with a title that types on.”
Every edit is read back from After Effects, and one Undo reverses a batch. The panel keeps sharing the composition you chose, even when you open another one.
