Cookie Policy
Effective as of October 20, 2026
2. Your control & consent
On your first visit we show a consent banner before any non-essential cookies run. You can Accept all, Reject non-essential, or Customize each category.
Essential cookies are always on because the site cannot function without them. Analytics, Functional, and Marketing cookies are off until you allow them.
You can change your choice at any time by selecting "Cookie Settings" in the footer of any public page, or on this page. Your choice is remembered on this device and recorded for our compliance records (with a timestamp and consent version).
If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a no to Analytics: we do not count your visits and we do not record them.
3. Categories we use
ESSENTIAL (always on) — Authentication, security, session management, fraud prevention, and billing. These keep you signed in, protect your account, and let payments work. Set by SwitchApp, by our authentication provider (Supabase), and by our payment processor (Stripe). The site cannot run without them, so they are not subject to consent.
ANALYTICS (off until you allow) — Product analytics, usage tracking, and error/performance monitoring so we can see what works, fix what breaks, and improve speed. With this on: • We count your visits and measure which pages you use, how long each page is in use, how far down you scroll, and where on a page you click. An anonymous visitor identifier on your device lets us tell a first visit from a return visit. • We may record your session: a replay of how you moved through our pages (what was on screen, scrolling, mouse movement and clicks), so our team can see where people get stuck. It is a record of the page, not a video of your screen or camera. What you type into a box (including prompt boxes) is hidden as you type it. Text already shown on the page, such as a past prompt or a file name, can appear in a recording, so only our staff can see recordings. Links on the page are stripped of private parts before they leave your device, and private share and sign-in pages are never recorded. • Vercel Speed Insights measures real-world page-load performance. This data is stored by SwitchApp on our own systems (hosted with Supabase), is seen only by SwitchApp staff, is never sold, and is never given to AI models or advertisers. Recordings of a signed-in account are deleted when the account is deleted. Turning Analytics off stops all of it straight away.
BEFORE YOU CHOOSE — Until you make a choice in the banner, we count the visit without storing anything on your device and without linking it to your account: we note which pages are opened, for how long, how far down they are scrolled, the site you came from, your type of device and browser, and your rough location (country and city), under a one-way code made from your connection and browser, which changes every day and cannot be turned back into who you are. We do not record clicks or sessions before you allow Analytics. If you reject Analytics, we stop counting you at all.
Separately, our network provider (Cloudflare) performs aggregate, cookieless performance and security measurement at the network edge. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and does not identify you, so it runs as essential infrastructure rather than under this consent choice. You can read Cloudflare's privacy terms for details.
FUNCTIONAL (off until you allow) — Saved preferences, UI customization, and workspace settings (for example, remembering interface choices). These make the product more convenient but are not required.
MARKETING (off until you allow) — Advertising, retargeting, and campaign attribution. With this on, we use the Meta pixel (Facebook and Instagram) and its server-side twin to learn which advert brought you to SwitchApp and when you look at pricing or tokens. Nothing from Meta loads until you allow this category.
4. How long cookies last
Session cookies (for example, parts of your sign-in) are cleared when you close your browser. Persistent cookies last for a set period — your consent choice and anonymous visitor identifier are kept for up to 12 months, after which we ask again. Authentication and security cookies follow the lifetime set by our authentication and payment providers.
Clearing your browser's cookies and local storage removes these at any time; doing so will also clear your saved consent choice, so the banner will appear again.
5. Third-party services
Some cookies are set by trusted providers we rely on to run SwitchApp:
• Supabase — authentication, session, and security cookies (Essential). • Stripe — payment processing and fraud prevention (Essential). • Vercel — hosting, and (only with Analytics consent) Speed Insights for real-world performance measurement. • Supabase — also stores our own visit counts and session recordings (Analytics, only with consent; never shared). • Meta — the Meta pixel and Conversions API for advert attribution (Marketing, only with consent). • Cloudflare — content delivery, security, and cookieless aggregate performance measurement at the network edge (sets no cookies; not used to identify you).
These providers process data under their own privacy terms. We do not sell your personal information. The only advertising technology we use is the Meta pixel, and only when you allow Marketing.
6. How to change or withdraw consent
Open "Cookie Settings" in the footer of any public page (or use the button below) to review and change your choices at any time. Turning a category off stops the related cookies from running going forward.
You can also control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them. Note that blocking Essential cookies will prevent core features such as signing in and billing from working.
7. Questions & related policies
This Cookie Policy works alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information more broadly, and our Terms of Service.
