Introduction
SwitchApp is operated by Switch Technologies, LLC ("SwitchApp", "we", "us", or "our"). SwitchApp is an AI-powered content creation platform for creators, marketers, and business teams. SwitchApp lets users generate images and videos, organize a library of generated assets, and collaborate with AI agents to plan, prompt, and produce content.
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you visit or use SwitchApp through the website at switchapp.ai, the mobile web application, our Telegram integrations, and any other digital properties that link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the "Service").
NOTICE TO EUROPEAN USERS: If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, please see the "Notice to European Users" section near the end of this Policy for additional rights and information that apply to you.
1. Personal Information We Collect
1.1 Information you provide to us. You may provide the following kinds of personal information when you create an account, use the Service, contact us, or interact with us:
• Contact data — your name, email address, and (if you choose to share it) your phone number or mailing address. • Profile data — the username, password, and profile picture associated with your account; biographical details; preferences; and any other information you add to your profile. • Authentication data — information received when you sign in using a third-party identity provider such as Google. Our use and disclosure of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. • Communications data — the contents of messages you exchange with us or with SwitchApp's AI agents (including the in-app operator chat and Telegram CEO chat), feedback you submit, and support requests. • Transactional data — information needed to complete your orders or subscriptions, including order numbers and transaction history. • Payment data — card and billing information required to process payments. Payment data is collected and stored by our payment processor (Stripe), not by SwitchApp directly. See https://stripe.com/privacy for Stripe's privacy practices. • User-shared media — images, videos, reference photos, and any other files you upload, generate, or process through the Service, together with associated metadata (e.g. prompt text, model used, generation parameters, timestamps). • Prompt and command data — the text prompts, commands, questions, instructions, and other content you enter into the Service's prompt bars, chat interfaces, and agent tools. This includes content sent to AI models on our behalf and any system-generated variations of your prompts. • Automatic analysis data — thumbnails, preview copies, transcripts and AI descriptions (shots, speech, sounds) that the Service creates from your media automatically. Also the record of each tool call an agent or connected client makes through the SwitchApp connector. • Marketing preferences — your choices for receiving our marketing communications and engagement details (e.g. whether you opened an email). • Bug report and diagnostic data — when you report a problem (for example, through the in-app bug reporter or support chat), SwitchApp captures an image of the SwitchApp page you are viewing at that moment, together with the page address, your browser and device details, and recent in-app activity, so our team and our automated agents can reproduce and fix the issue. The bug reporter tells you on screen that a snapshot of the page has been attached. This capture is limited to SwitchApp's own page content: it does not — and by browser design cannot — capture your computer screen, your desktop, other browser tabs, or other application windows. These captures are stored privately, accessed only through short-lived secure links, and used solely to investigate and resolve your report. • Other data — additional information you choose to provide, which we will use as described in this Policy or as disclosed at the time of collection.
YOU SHOULD NOT UPLOAD OR PROVIDE US WITH ANY CONFIDENTIAL, SENSITIVE, UNLICENSED PROPRIETARY, OR BIOMETRIC INFORMATION THROUGH THE SERVICE. You may provide a face or voice you have the right to use with a feature that needs it, and the details asked for in the identity check.
1.2 Information from third-party sources. We may combine the information you provide with information we obtain from third parties, including: • Identity providers (such as Google) that you use to sign in. • Payment processors (such as Stripe). • Service providers that help us operate SwitchApp (hosting, analytics, cloud storage, AI model providers, email delivery). • Public sources such as social media profiles and publicly available content.
1.3 Information collected automatically. We and our service providers may automatically log information about your device and how you interact with the Service, including: • Device data — operating system, browser type and version, screen resolution, device type, IP address, unique device identifiers, language, and general location (city/region). • Usage data — pages or screens viewed, features used, time spent in the Service, referring URLs, navigation paths, click and tap events, and error logs. • Communication data — whether you opened our emails and clicked links within them.
1.4 Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies, local storage (including IndexedDB), and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, operate the Service, and analyze usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features of the Service may not work correctly if you disable them.
Google Workspace Data (Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Drive)
When you connect your Google account, SwitchApp requests only the narrow access needed for the specific features you choose to use. Each permission is tied to an action you trigger:
• Gmail, send only (the gmail.send scope). When you choose to deliver finished assets or a tracker by email, SwitchApp composes and sends that one email on your behalf from your own Gmail account. SwitchApp cannot read, search, label, or delete your email. The send-only permission grants no access to your existing messages.
• Google Sheets (the spreadsheets scope). When you choose to export a content tracker, SwitchApp creates a spreadsheet in your Google account and writes the tracker rows into it.
• Google Drive, per file (the drive.file scope). When you choose to export a media file, SwitchApp creates and uploads that file into the specific folder you select through the Google file picker. SwitchApp can only access files it creates or that you explicitly choose; it cannot see the rest of your Drive.
We use Google Workspace data solely to provide the user-facing action you request. We store Google OAuth tokens so your Google connection can remain active until you disconnect it. We also store limited delivery and export records needed to operate the Service, prevent duplicate sends, show status and history, troubleshoot failures, and maintain security and audit logs. These records may include recipient email addresses you enter, email subjects or messages you approve, Google Drive folder or file identifiers and links for files we create, Google Sheets links we create, Gmail message IDs, timestamps, and success or failure status.
We do not read, search, label, delete, or store your existing Gmail inbox. We do not browse your existing Drive or Sheets content unless you explicitly choose a file or folder for an action. You can revoke access at any time from your Google Account permissions or from within SwitchApp.
We never sell Google Workspace data, never transfer it to advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers, never use it for creditworthiness or lending, and never use it to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI or machine-learning model. We share or transfer Google Workspace data only as needed to carry out the action you requested, including with Google's own APIs and infrastructure providers that process it for SwitchApp under confidentiality and security commitments. Our use of information received from Google APIs, and our transfer of that information to any other app, adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
2. How We Use Your Personal Information
We use your personal information for the following purposes, or as otherwise described at the time of collection:
2.1 Service delivery and operations. To provide the Service, create and maintain your account, process your requests, enable security features, route your prompts to the appropriate AI models, store and organize your generated content, and communicate with you about Service announcements, updates, and support.
2.2 AI model execution. When you submit a prompt or use an AI tool, we send the relevant content (text prompts, reference images, generation parameters) to the AI model providers we use on your behalf. These may include, among others, Anthropic, OpenAI, Google (Gemini), BytePlus (ByteDance), ElevenLabs, FAL, Replicate, Higgsfield, HeyGen, Sync Labs, Topaz, Kling, Moonshot (Kimi), Sonix and similar third-party AI providers. The same happens automatically, without a separate request from you, when the Service transcribes or describes media you bring in (see 2.8). Each provider's handling of the content is governed by its own privacy and data-use policies. We do not control those policies and encourage you to review them.
2.3 Personalization. We use your usage history, preferences, and past generations to personalize your experience — for example, by remembering your preferred models, resolutions, reference images, and style settings across sessions.
2.4 Service improvement and analytics. We analyze how the Service is used so we can improve features, fix bugs, monitor performance, and develop new products. We may use aggregated or de-identified data for these purposes.
2.5 Using what you make to help you. We use your prompts, uploads, generated outputs and other content to help you: your private memory, your saved styles and preferences, and what your assistants learn about how you like graphics and motion graphics made. Unless you opt out, we may also use your content inside SwitchApp to improve how our assistants and tools work for everyone, for example shared lessons our assistants learn and quality checks on real conversations. We never use it to train AI models for other companies, and we never sell it. Our staff look at content only to run, secure and support the Service, to check reports or suspected rule breaks, or when the law requires it. To keep your content out of that shared improvement and out of our marketing, check the box in the Account section of Settings, or email support@switchapp.ai with the subject "Content opt-out" from your account email. An authorized representative can opt out all of an organization's accounts (all accounts that use the organization's email domain and any others the organization identifies); those accounts then show the box checked and cannot uncheck it.
2.6 Marketing. With your permission where required, we may send you marketing emails about SwitchApp features, promotions, and updates. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in each email or by contacting support@switchapp.ai.
2.7 Compliance and protection. We use personal information to comply with applicable laws, respond to legal requests, enforce our Terms of Service, protect the rights and safety of SwitchApp and its users, prevent fraud and abuse, and investigate violations of our policies (including our content policy for generated media).
2.8 Connected agents and automatic processing. SwitchApp's own assistants act in your account on your instruction. So does the SwitchApp connector, used by AI clients such as Claude or ChatGPT or by an agent you run with a SwitchApp API key. So do the SwitchApp panels for Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects. Inside SwitchApp they act only on your own content and on projects shared with you, with the tools SwitchApp gives them. In the SwitchApp chat, actions that spend tokens, delete your work or send content outside SwitchApp wait for your yes. In the Adobe panels, edits wait for your press unless you turn on Always allow. The Premiere assistant may use paid tools without asking and tells you what it spent. Other AI clients you connect decide for themselves whether to ask you. We keep a record of the tool calls agents make through the SwitchApp connector: which tool, when, what kind of connection, and whether it worked. When you bring media in, the Service may automatically create thumbnails, preview copies, transcripts and AI descriptions of it, through the providers named in 2.2, so that editing tools and agents can work with it. Where that costs tokens, you pay per use at the price on the price list. If you give us a link instead of a file, we or the provider doing the job open it for you. Links to private or internal network addresses are refused.
2.9 Aggregated and anonymized data. We may create aggregated, de-identified, or anonymized data from the personal information we collect and use it for any lawful purpose, including analyzing usage patterns and improving the Service.
3. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, including to deliver the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
When we no longer need personal information, we will delete it, anonymize it, or securely store it until deletion is possible. The exact retention period depends on the type of data, its sensitivity, and any applicable legal or accounting requirements.
When you delete an image or asset from SwitchApp, it is removed from your library immediately and purged from active storage within 30 days. Backup copies may remain in encrypted archives for up to 90 days before final deletion. Transcripts and analyses stored with your videos and editor projects, video analysis reports, and records of agent tool calls are deleted when you delete your account, within the 90 days above. Three things stay after that, with no name or picture attached: your token history for ten years, the result of your identity check for seven years, and your email address only until we have sent you the note that your account is gone. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 90 days of account deletion, except where we are required or permitted by law to retain it longer.
Google Workspace Data Retention and Deletion
Google OAuth tokens are retained while your Google connection remains active and are deleted from SwitchApp when you disconnect Google from your account. We also make a best-effort request to revoke the token with Google.
Google delivery and export records are retained while needed to provide delivery history, prevent accidental duplicate sends, troubleshoot failed exports or emails, maintain security and audit logs, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our agreements. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize these records within 90 days unless we are required or permitted by law to retain them longer.
5. Your Choices
5.1 Access and update. You can view and update your profile information from within the Service. To request a copy of other personal information we hold about you, contact us at support@switchapp.ai.
5.2 Delete content. You can delete individual images, videos, folders, or other content from your library at any time using the delete controls in the Service. Deletion is purged from active storage within 30 days.
5.3 Delete your account. To request account deletion, contact us at support@switchapp.ai. We will delete or anonymize your personal information within 90 days, subject to any legal or contractual retention requirements.
5.4 Opt out of marketing. Use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any marketing email, or contact support@switchapp.ai. Opting out of marketing does not affect service-related communications (e.g. security alerts, billing notices, and changes to this Policy).
5.5 Opt out of shared improvement and marketing use of your content. Check the box in the Account section of Settings, or email support@switchapp.ai with the subject "Content opt-out" from your account email. Your own workspace keeps learning your preferences. You can uncheck the box to opt back in, unless your organization opted out all of its accounts. See Section 2.5.
5.6 Cookies. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may limit some Service features.
5.7 Do Not Track. SwitchApp does not currently respond to Do Not Track browser signals.
6. Security
We use technical, organizational, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure storage. For Google Workspace data, we use limited OAuth scopes, access controls, database security controls, disconnect and revocation controls, and limited personnel access. Payment data is handled by our payment processor (Stripe) and is not stored on our servers.
No security system is perfect. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your personal information, and you use the Service at your own risk. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@switchapp.ai.
7. International Data Transfers
Switch Technologies, LLC is a Delaware limited liability company, and SwitchApp is operated from Singapore and the United States. For Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act, our data protection officer can be reached at privacy@switchapp.ai. Your personal information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in both Singapore and the United States, as well as other countries where our service providers operate. The data protection laws in these countries may differ from the laws in your country.
We use service providers and AI model providers that may operate in other countries as well. Where we transfer personal information outside the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, adequacy decisions (including the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework where applicable), or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and believe we have collected information from your child, please contact us at support@switchapp.ai and we will take steps to delete that information.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Effective" date at the top of this Policy and, where appropriate, providing additional notice (such as an in-app message or email). Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect indicates your acceptance of the updated Policy.
10. Notice to European Users
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, this section provides additional information about your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR.
Controller. Switch Technologies, LLC is the controller of your personal information for the purposes of the GDPR.
Legal bases. We rely on the following legal bases to process your personal information: (a) performance of a contract with you (to deliver the Service); (b) our legitimate interests (to operate, secure, improve, and promote the Service); (c) your consent, where required by law; and (d) compliance with legal obligations.
Your rights. Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal information; the right to data portability; and the right to withdraw consent where we rely on it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
