Usage and tokens
The token line
Where. Next to the composer or the model picker, wherever a press spends Switch tokens.
The words. “Using Switch tokens”, then a “Manage usage” link.
The link. Manage usage opens the person’s Switch usage page: switchapp.ai/settings?tab=usage.
Prices. Never show a Switch price you worked out yourself. If you show a cost, take it from Switch.
Your own plan. Keep your app’s own charges apart from Switch tokens, so nobody mixes up the two bills.
Out of Switch tokens
Switch tells your app the account cannot pay in one of two ways. A request that charges before it starts is refused with status 402. A picture task from the Developer API is accepted first, and its status later comes back with the error “Generation stopped: insufficient credits.” Show the out of tokens state for both, as a sheet (on the UI and UX page) or in the compact form here. Both keep the same order.
Title. “Out of Switch tokens”.
First action. Top up, in the teal button, opening Switch’s top up page: switchapp.ai/tokens. Link only to that page.
Second action. Manage usage, as a quiet link.
Nothing invented. No prices, packs or offers of your own inside this state.
Do and don’t
Do. Lead with Top up and say that nothing was charged.
Error 402: Payment Required

Don’t. Show the raw status code, or leave the person with no way on.
